Behind the Scenes with Marshams

Theres a lot that goes into a filming session for a high value film. It all starts with an idea with an objective, then a concept that will fit into a campaign followed by identifying all the elements needed to tell the story. Actors, props, location the identidying what video sequences are needed within the location and from the actors to build a visual of the story.

Story Board, shot list, slate list as well as scripts all have to be created and matched even before filming starts. They all ensure that everything is planned, filmed or accounted for. This includes cut aways, closeups, graphics and CGI so that during principle filming all of the elements are collectsed ready for post production.

In the edit suite is where all the magic happens. The stort begings to take shape. Video sequences are assembled, motion graphics, if required are added, voice overs, music are then dropped in onto the time line. The final stages is the sound and colour grading then pull the whole film together polishing it into a professionally finished film.
